Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Pastry Chef with strong hands-on experience in fondant work, fine decoration, and high-volume pastry preparation. The ideal candidate will lead daily pastry production while ensuring all items meet exceptional standards of taste, texture, and visual presentation. This role is heavily focused on execution, speed, consistency, and artistic finishing.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Pastry & Cake Production
Prepare, bake, and assemble a full range of pastries, cakes, and baked goods required for daily operations.
Execute batch production efficiently while maintaining consistent quality.
Organize daily mise en place and ensure production timelines are met without delay.
Fondant, Decoration & Finishing
Produce high-quality decorative cakes, including wedding cakes, celebration cakes, and themed cakes.
Specialize in fondant modelling, sugar flowers, figurines, and precision finishing techniques.
Deliver clean, refined decorating work including piping, airbrushing, coloring, texturing, and surface finishing.
Ensure all products meet approved recipes, weight standards, and presentation guidelines.
Maintain strict hygiene and food safety throughout production.
Qualifications & Skills
5–8 years of hands-on production experience in bakeries, hotels, or commercial kitchens.
Strong proficiency in:
Fondant work (sculpting, covering, modelling)
- Cake assembly and finishing
- Decorative techniques (piping, glazing, texturing, sugar work)
High-volume pastry production
Strong attention to detail, color sense, and artistic ability.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Working Conditions
Early morning shifts and weekend/holiday scheduling as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive production tasks.
