Customs Clearance Agent

About the Role

Qatar Aviation Services Cargo is recruiting for Custom Clearance Agent to join their team based in Doha, Qatar. 
The role will be responsible to verify documents and ensure completion of customs formalities for company material related to QR and subsidiaries shipments. Liaise with other government authorities and seek their approval on the customs single window system.

Operational Accountabilities:

⦁    Collects shipping documents consigned to QR and other Subsidiary in order to initiate the process of customs clearance of the shipment.
⦁    Verify and check if all shipping documents are correct and in order as per the Customs and Other Government Authorities rules and regulations prior to submitting them to Customs Authority. 
⦁    Responsible to update BAYAN customs Declaration typically with all the data provided from the shipping documents. 
⦁    In charge to advice the applicant department for all the Missing required based on the rules and regulation from customs and other government Authorities. 
⦁    Record any damages that have been found or noticed during the customs inspection process for QR or Subsidiaries. 
⦁    Liaise with other governmental authorities that are situated in the cargo terminal and seek their approval as well on the customs single window system. 
⦁    Insure that the customs declaration has been finalized on system after customs security approved on Al nadeeb system.
⦁    Coordinate with Landside Forward Reception area staff for issuance of vehicle pass in order to allow the truck to enter the cargo premises for collection of cargo. 
⦁    Coordinate with the cargo delivery team who prepares the Cargo Damage Report and send to corresponding QR subsidiary. 
⦁    Ensure that hard copies of all the shipping documentation pertaining to all QR & Subsidiary shipments that have been customs cleared by QAS Cargo Clearance are filed systematically in order to comply with the customs regulation. 
⦁    Ensure recording in the shift report each step on spot. 
⦁    Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

About you:
⦁    High School qualification with minimum 1-year of job-related experience.
⦁    Has working experience in Air Cargo handling or Freight handling.
⦁    Good command in both spoken and written English & Arabic language.
⦁    Familiar with Customs Clearance activity.
⦁    Preferably with work experience in Freight Forwarding Company.
⦁    Good knowledge of Microsoft office tools.
