The Mechanical Supervisor overseesall mechanical activities during offshore shutdowns, ensuring safe, efficient,and timely execution of maintenance, repairs, and installations. Keyresponsibilities include: Shutdown Execution:o    Supervise mechanical teams (technicians,contractors) in tasks like valve replacements, pump overhauls, piping repairs,and turbine maintenance.o    Ensure work aligns with the shutdown scheduleand critical path. HSE & Compliance:o    Enforce strict adherence to HSE policies (PTW,LOTO, confined space entry, etc.).o    Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, andsafety inspections. Quality Control:o    Verify that mechanical work meets engineeringstandards (ASME, API, ANSI).o    Oversee non -destructive testing (NDT) andhydrostatic tests. Coordination:o    Liaise with engineers, planners, and otherdisciplines (e.g., electrical, instrumentation).o    Report daily progress to the Shutdown Manager. Troubleshooting:o    Resolve technical issues during execution(e.g., alignment problems, material defects). RequirementsQualifications & Experience:· Education: Diploma or Degree in MechanicalEngineering.· Certifications: OSHA/NEBOSH, COSS (Competent OffshoreSafety Supervisor), or equivalent.· Experience: 8+ years in oil/gas, with 3+ yearsin offshore shutdowns/turnarounds.· TechnicalSkills:o    Expertise in rotating equipment (pumps,compressors), static equipment (vessels, heat exchangers), and piping systems.o    Familiarity with SAP/CMMS for work orders.· SoftSkills: Leadership,problem -solving, fluency in English (Arabic a plus).
