HSE / Safety Engineer & Safety Officers

Location: Doha, Qatar

Company Overview:

ALGO Systems Qatar is a leading systems integrator with over 12 years of experience in the GCC region, delivering Traffic Signal, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and Smart City Projects. We are currently hiring HSE / Safety Engineers and Safety Officers to join our operational team immediately in Doha.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Qatar Labor Law, Ashghal, QCS, and MOI safety standards for all ongoing projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety inductions for site staff and subcontractors.
  • Monitor all project sites to ensure compliance with safety requirements, PPE use, and approved method statements.
  • Investigate and report accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, recommending preventive and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain HSE reports, inspection logs, and incident documentation.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure continuous training and awareness among all personnel.
  • Coordinate with project managers and QA/QC teams to ensure integrated compliance with HSE standards.

Qualifications:For HSE / Safety Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Safety Management.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in HSE roles within construction or ITS-related projects.
  • Must hold valid NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certification.
  • Strong understanding of QCS 2024, Ashghal, and MOI safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Preferred: Candidates currently residing in Qatar with NOC and immediate availability.

For Safety Officer:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in construction or maintenance safety operations.
  • Must hold valid NEBOSH / OSHA certification.
  • Good knowledge of site safety procedures, PPE standards, and emergency response protocols.
  • Preferred: English-speaking candidates with transferable visa and NOC.
  • Availability: Must be able to join immediately.
