About the role

Oversee the workforce management on a long term view, ensuring effective resource planning implementation and use across the Hub. Develop long-term capacity plans and provide accurate workload predictions, budgeting and planning.

Key accountabilities include:
Operational

  • Works in close coordination with Senior Resource Planning Real Time Officer and HR ensuring Doha Hub Department has an adequate pool of suitably qualified employees.
  • Liaise with Training and Hub Support for long term planning of staff rotas with all the applied / approved leave and training.
  • Design, develop and maintain effective resource planning and forecasting models to support a multiskilled, multichannel operation, to ensure maximum operational and commercial efficiencies.
  • Analysis/enhancement of existing rostering and leave systems, preparing business cases related to improvements and related follow up for approvals.
  • Obtain operational forecast data to align the required manpower.
  • Assess and quantify short/long term risks and opportunities identified through process of analysis and forecasting in order to avoid operational disruptions and look for cost savings opportunities.
  • Manage crisis management program in event of incident or accident and be fully familiar with the Local Emergency Response Plan through regular trainings.
  • Identify and agree best practice for resource planning, and implement consistent processes across all areas in Hub.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Additional Accountabilities

  • Compile excellent operational reports for the Hub Management and Ground Services Head Office.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to employees in relation to administrative matters and employment conditions.
  • Lead forecasting meetings with all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

About you

  • Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Management/Leadership experience with the Airline or Aviation Industry. Management role with significant autonomy
  • Managing a team of people from a multicultural background
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • High degree of selfmotivation and personal enthusiasm.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to operational queries from all QR networks.
