JOB PURPOSE:

Support the Employee Relations & Engagement Manager in execution of all programs and processes related to Employee Engagement to create a sense of connection between the employees and the organisation. To improve internal policies and procedures, to contribute to employee satisfaction, performance, and engagement.

CORE OBJECTIVES:

  1. Align employees with organization goals and values
  2. Enhance employees' sense of well-being
  3. Assist in improving workplace conditions
  4. Quality of documentation and reports and timeliness of delivery
  5. Improve employee value proposition

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Contribute to the development and implementation of employee engagement programs to create optimal employee engagement. Assist in increasing the employee value proposition and work closely with Talent Acquisition to assist in optimizing the onboarding process. Assist in the execution of employee retention initiatives. Independently executes all activities, asks for approval from manager where necessary.
  2. Deliver quality social and sporting events to promote camaraderie amongst employees across different departments. Cultivate strong cohesive team culture and positive work environment.
  3. Promote understanding of Human Resources policies amongst employees and managers. Identify opportunities for optimisation of current policies and procedures based on insights from conversations with employees and managers. Provide verbal or written analysis and advocate continuous improvement of policies and procedures. Challenge stakeholders to comply with policies and procedures.
  4. Assist in providing a clear communication of organization values, mission, vision, and culture. Work closely with the Corporate Communications team to develop information sharing channels to keep employees aware and embrace the 'One Team' initiative by understanding the organization and where it's always headed to stay engaged and assist the growth.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, or equivalent from a reputable and recognized university
  2. 10+ years of relevant progressive professional experience in Employee Relations & Engagement as well as expertise in the specific area
  3. Strong communication and presentation skills.
  4. Proven ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with internal employees and external parties.
  5. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  6. Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
