DHL Global Forwarding Qatar has an opening for a Credit Controller where you will manage receivables on behalf of DGF Qatar in an efficient and cost-effective manner, and in line with internal and external policies and standards, in order to maximize cash flow and minimize bad debts for the business. In this Credit Controller position:

  • You will ensure compliance to the Country credit policy and report any deviations detected.
  • You will define and implement local policies to meet global DPWN procedures.
  • You will provide leadership and coaching to the direct reports and develop yearly departmental goals and track to target.
  • You will ensure cross-functional communications and engagement.
  • You will lead projects and change management to implement process improvements in the area of scope.
  • You will ensure global/regional and local internal control frameworks in the area of scope are implemented and followed.
  • You will manage dispute resolution of escalated issues, disputes from customers, shared service centers, and operations.
  • You will manage bad debts by applying the guidelines as provided for in the country and corporate OTC policies.
  • You will seek authorization and approvals of credit limits and terms as stipulated in the country credit policy.
  • You will define and review the country's collection strategy.
  • You will be responsible for receivables reporting, review reports, spot trends, provide input to local/regional management, ad hoc reporting plus month-end results reporting.
  • You will optimize processes by tracking and monitoring efficiency and effectiveness of the OTC process.
  • You will develop countermeasures to address root causes of receivables problems, risks, and inefficiencies plus follow up and review results in order to proactively identify new risks through regular process and system walk-through tests.

  • University degree in accountancy, professional accountancy finalist, or equivalent.
  • 1 – 5 years' experience in accounting field, preferably in a related industry.
