The E-Commerce Pricing and Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing pricing strategies, monitoring market trends, and providing data-driven insights to optimize e-commerce pricing across various product categories. This role involves conducting competitive pricing analysis, identifying opportunities for pricing adjustments, and ensuring the companys products are competitively priced while maximizing profitability. The analyst will also manage data collection, analyze sales performance, and collaborate with marketing and sales teams to implement strategies that enhance revenue and improve overall customer experience. The goal is to utilize pricing intelligence and data analytics to support the companys growth and profitability in the e-commerce space.
Accountability & Responsibilities of Role:
eCommerce Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive eCommerce strategy to increase online traffic, conversion rates, and overall sales.
- Identify and explore new business opportunities, partnerships, and market trends to drive growth.
Platform Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the eCommerce platform (website and app), ensuring it is functional, user-friendly, and aligned with the brands image.
- Work closely with the IT and development teams to manage updates, troubleshoot issues, and implement new features.
- Ensure website content is up to date and includes accurate product descriptions, visuals, and pricing.
Customer Experience:
- Optimize the user journey, from browsing to checkout, ensuring a smooth and engaging customer experience.
- Manage product reviews, feedback, and customer inquiries related to online purchases to improve satisfaction.
- Collaborate with customer service to address issues and improve post-purchase support.
Digital Marketing Integration:
- Coordinate with the Digital Marketing team to align e-commerce activities with broader online marketing campaigns (SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, SMS marketing, etc.).
- Manage promotions and online sales campaigns, such as discount codes, flash sales, and holiday promotions, ensuring timely execution and tracking performance.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze eCommerce performance metrics, including traffic, conversion rates, average order value, and customer retention.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance and marketing campaign effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations to improve results.
- Use data to make informed decisions regarding inventory management, pricing strategies, and marketing efforts.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the eCommerce budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies are employed to maximize ROI.
- Oversee pricing strategies for online products, considering competitors and market demand.
Vendor & Partnership Management:
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, including logistics providers, payment gateways, and platform partners.
- Negotiate and manage service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors and ensure their performance meets business standards.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Pricing Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar role within e-commerce or retail.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in pricing strategy, competitive analysis, and market research.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced level), SQL, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with pricing software or platforms and e-commerce analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, pricing optimization software).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
- Solid understanding of e-commerce KPIs, sales performance analysis, and the ability to translate data into strategic decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication skills to present data findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales, marketing, and product teams to align pricing strategies.
- Knowledge of the latest trends in e-commerce and digital pricing models.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
