With the strategic rapid growth of our luxury brands in Qatar at IHG Hotels and Resorts, we are looking for a seasoned Assistant People & Culture Manager with luxury and lifestyle brand hotel experiences to join our team in Doha.

Day-to-Day Duties

People

  1. Create programmes to foster a positive work environment for all employees. Support and administer an annual team member satisfaction survey
  2. Educate and train managers on HR disciplines to foster productivity and enhance performance
  3. Welcome and conduct new team member orientation
  4. Coordinate both internal and external training programs and send relevant employees for training
  5. Oversee maintenance of accurate and up-to-date personnel files and records for all employees
  6. Ensure hotel or company hiring standards and applicable laws and regulations are followed
  7. Build great relations with outside contacts
  8. Assist in the recruitment, resourcing and reference checking of all new team members
  9. First point of contact for all team members in relation to human resources function and queries
  10. Organize and assist in the employee engagement activities in the hotel
Guest Experience

  1. Develop creative ways to inspire and motivate team members to provide guests with a unique experience
  2. Make time to interact with guests to hear feedback and build relationships to understand how team members can increase guest satisfaction
  3. Work with department managers to develop initiatives to reach service standards and drive continuous improvement in the guest experience.
  4. Adheres to IHG Brand standards at all times and encourages others to do the same
  5. Acts as a Brand Hearted ambassador for the hotel
Responsible Business

  1. Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community and promote team member involvement in local community
  2. Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, policies and procedures
  3. Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
  4. Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
  5. Collect and maintain data from exit interviews, turnover statistics, absenteeism reports to identify trends, training needs, and supervisory issues
  6. Other ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done
What We Need From You

  1. Minimum Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent
  2. 2 years' related experience as HR Executive/ Asst. HR Manager, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  3. A positive and keen to learn attitude
  4. Must be proficient in written and spoken English and with good communication skills
