Department: Electrical Unit

Reports to: Head of Electrical Unit

Responsibilities:
  1. Promote and sell the company's electrical products for projects; mainly Wiring Devices, Cables, Cable Trays, Circuit Breakers, Bus Duct, etc.
  2. Identifying potential projects:
    1. Through direct contacts with consultants and contractors
    2. From different sources of information (market data, professional bulletins & magazines, etc.)
  3. Network/establish relations with appropriate contacts that would help market research (competition, price levels, marketing plan input), information gathering, offer/bid, follow‐up, etc.
  4. Study books of specifications and select the most suitable product.
  5. Prepare offers in coordination with the Sales and Product Manager. Revise offers as necessary.
  6. Follow up with appropriate contacts (technical and commercial) on submitted offers to secure a positive closing.
  7. Draft/Initiate relative purchase orders.
  8. Creation and pricing of New Items in coordination with the Product Manager.
  9. Supervise invoicing, delivery to site, testing, and commissioning.
  10. Follow‐up on customers accounts and ensure that payment schedule is well executed and/or credit terms are well respected.
  11. Recommend new products that:
    1. complement existing product line
    2. ensure comprehensive response to specific needs of various market segments.
Product Management:
  1. Identify product development needs and suggest new products within the existing product line.
  2. Coordinate with suppliers in sending RFQs, special prices request etc.
  3. Monitor and suggest price positioning in markets.
Customer Support:
  1. In all interactions with third parties and existing or potential customers, promote the image of the company by demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and technical knowledge, and uphold the high standards of the company.
  2. Answer customers queries and maintain good relations with them.
  3. Receive customers complaints and request corrective action.
Sales Support:
  1. Train and support the sales team with related product knowledge.
  2. Assist the sales team in preparing special quotations as per requirements.
  3. Identify potential projects through direct contacts with consultants, contractors, etc.
  4. Analyze books of specifications and select suitable products.
  5. Support in preparing submittals in coordination with the Application Engineer and communicate with consultants when necessary.
  6. Visit customers sites to evaluate specific requirements and constraints and propose necessary corrective action plans.
Stock Management:
  1. Manage stocks and ensure that they are maintained at optimal levels according to sales volumes by using Stock Keeping Unit (SKU).
  2. Create and set price of new items on ERP System.
Market Feedback & Reporting:
  1. Monitor the company's performance and positioning in available markets.
  2. Provide market feedback through surveys regarding market volume, brand share, customer needs, customer satisfaction, pricing, and competition.
  3. Search for adequate promotional and marketing activities in coordination with the Unit manager.
  4. Coordinate & follow-up on marketing activities and product launch process of the product Line.
Requirements:
  1. Electrical Engineering Degree.
  2. 5 to 10 years of sales experience in electrical products.
  3. Language(s): English is a must.
  4. Computer literacy: AutoCAD + Microsoft Windows, Office Outlook.
