About Sales Engineer:
Responsible for driving sales of engineering products and services, providing technical expertise to clients, and supporting the sales team in achieving targets.
Key Responsibility:
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and providing engineering solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and prospects, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Identify new sales opportunities by understanding market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to clients.
- Collaborate with the other teams to ensure that client requirements are met with the right product specifications and solutions.
- Create detailed technical quotes, including pricing and product specifications, to meet customer needs.
- Conduct site visits to assess customer requirements and offer technical consultation.
- Provide post-sales support, ensuring that product delivery and installation meet client expectations.
- Work on developing promotional strategies and product literature.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer communications in the ERP system.
- Meet and exceed sales targets through effective prospecting, closing sales, and managing the sales pipeline.
- Keep up to date with the latest mechanical engineering technologies and industry trends to advise customers on the most suitable solutions.
- Offer technical training or support to customers, helping them understand product functionality and application.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is a must
- Proven experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role, ideally within the mechanical engineering industry.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, Hoes components, and product applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close sales effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills to identify customer needs and offer the best solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on relationship-building and client satisfaction.
Ability to travel to client sites and trade shows as required.
