**Senior Groups and Events Manager**
As our
**Senior Groups and Events Manager**, you will report to the Director of Sales & Marketing, and your responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
**What you will be doing**:
- Organize site visits, sales calls and other sales related activities.
- Negotiate business and revenue for the property.
- Coordinate catering and conference service and deliver client specifications.
- Sell to external markets, which may encompass corporate events/meetings/conference, weddings, receptions, exhibitions and events.
- Maintain knowledge about the local and global accounts (existing and new accounts).
- Achieve targets in terms of number of new active accounts, room nights, banquet covers and revenue set by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Interact and liaise closely with Front Office, Reservations, Food & Beverage and Banquet Departments.
**Your experience and skills include**:
- Minimum three years of previous experience as Groups and Events Manager is required.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional presentation.
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities as well as administrative skills.
- Strong negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and finalize contracts is a must.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to exercise good judgement with difficult Guests.
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
- Ability to focus attention on Guest needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times.
