As a Transport and Fleet Development Manager, you would be responsible for maintaining operational standards in the Transport department. You must also be in line with organizational directives and policies, to achieve customer satisfaction, increase profitability and deliver operational excellence based on employee morale, fleet evolution strategies and operational efficiency. You would be responsible to ensure on-time performance (OTP) and effectiveness of the department through defined procedures, controls and people management; respecting Health and Safety requirements; and ensuring vehicle maintenance programmes are adhered to. Builds and maintains a flexible, skilled and qualified workforce to match the continued growth and demand from passenger and cargo business

**To achieve success in this role you will need to**:

- Manage all operational aspects of the Transport Department to ensure that products and services are delivered with agreed standards and within budget
- Manage and lead the development of all direct reports and department employees, to create a dynamic, high-performance team that meets the operational requirements of the fast-paced, rapid-growing business and environment.
- Establishes and updates QACC Catering Fleet program based on short-, medium
- and long-term strategies, including but not limited to fleet expansion, replacement, purchasing vs. leasing options, maintenance and repair, etc
- Manage the Fleet Maintenance contract and the service provider on day-to-day liaison and overall fleet serviceability based on SLAs and continuous improvement.
- Ensure optimal manpower planning and rostering to achieve maximum performance standards and improvement opportunities with a zero-waste approach
- Develops, implements, and monitors on-the-job training programmes for employees to ensure employees’ full qualification as per required standards; compliance to health & safety, hygiene and environment standards; and demonstrated performance against KPI targets of the Transport department
- Monitor fuel cost for the entire fleet in conjunction with fuel service provider.

Qualifications

You should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 6+ years of job-related experience.

**Essential**
- An academic background in Mechanical Engineering (at least a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent); and a professional background in Heavy Goods Vehicle maintenance and repair
- Sound knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair trends and technological evolution
- Proven track record of vehicle maintenance contract negotiation and management
- Experience managing a large fleet of heavy and small vehicles
- Must have hands on managerial skills which includes delegating work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
- Valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) license

**Preferred**
- It is preferred if you have experience working in an airport operations environment, such as airside, including airside vehicle operation qualification
