**About your Job**:
We are looking for a TS Controller responsible for the operation and maintenance of Storage Systems, Storage Area Network and Data backup/restoration of Qatar Airways and its subsidiaries. Responsibility of the role includes Storage and Backup infrastructure design, capacity planning, availability planning and supplier coordination of infrastructure components to meet the business needs of QR and its subsidiaries. You will participate in implementing, supporting and managing SAN & Storage technologies and Backup Management systems at Qatar Airways Data Centre and its subsidiaries. You will be involved in technology specific improvement initiatives for the QR Group liaising with Information System team, and in line with IT standards.
To succeed in this role, you should have excellent technical, time management and communication skills as you will collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver results on deadlines.
**Key accountabilities include**:
- Ensure that Storage, SAN and Backup systems at Qatar Airways are fully maintained to the highest level of operational capabilities, and the implementation has been done to gain maximum benefit out of the chosen technology.- Implement and manage advanced SAN storage and Backup systems, and perform provisioning, tuning, and other assigned routine operational and maintenance activities.- Oversee and implement routine and ad-hoc storage and backup system upgrades and optimization initiatives.- Develop, maintain, and manage standard operating procedures and configurations of SAN, storage and backup systems- Create operational delivery and project plans for the IT projects and manage them to deliver on time and in agreed budget.- Conduct routine capacity reviews for SAN Storage Systems and Backup Infrastructure including hardware and software capacity, and plan for upgrades as and when required.- Create and maintain capacity, utilization, performance and uptime reports for SAN storage and backup systems, and present them internally.- Stay up to date with technology trends, and work on improvements and technology refresh in the area of data protection and SAN Storage.- Provide technical solutions and support for non-routine, and technical issues.

Qualifications
**About you**:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 7 years of IT experience- More than 3 years of recent experience in operation and maintenance of data protection, including relevant experience on Veritas NetBackup in multi-domain environment, and in Storage Technologies, including IBM and Dell EMC.- Problem solving, investigation skills and ability to work under pressure- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment.- Preferred Certifications: SNIA SNCP, ITIL v4- Exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations- Exceptional customer service orientation.
