**Business Support Officer - Utilities**
**About the role**
As a Business Support officer, you will be providing logístical and administrative support to the operational departments within Corporate Services, for efficient and effective delivery of the organizational goals. From analyzing business performance, managing service level agreements and budgets, to ensuring business performance aligns with the company goals, this position plays a pivotal role in the successful delivery of the operational section.
**Accountabilities**
- Principal administrator of the CS section dealing with important government ministry offices like Kahramaa (Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation), Asghal (Public Works Authority), Baladiya (Ministry of Municipality and Environment), etc. to ensure uninterrupted supply of utilities to all QR commercial offices and staff accommodation properties.
- Conduct an in-depth analysis of monthly electricity and water consumption across the group to evaluate exponential/out of turn consumption patterns and investigate the same with the support of the FM residential or commercial team.
- Represent QR at the operational briefings of these municipal and governmental authorities to keep himself/herself abreast of the latest developments/announcements.
- Develop working relationships across these entities at a mid-managerial level across sections like customer service, operations and billing/finance so as to easily navigate and resolve any QR exigency situation.
- Establish and sustain a robust and structured scheduled mechanism that deals with timely settlement of utility bills and recharged to various divisions/subsidiaries as agreed and ensures their disputes/queries are clarified effectively by the team, to maintain internal customer satisfaction.
- Be the final reviewer and approver of all utility consumption charges, keeping track of budgets vs actuals and highlight variances to management for timely addressal.
- Strong command on Arabic language - Read, Speak and Write.
Qualifications
**About you**
You will possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.
OR
- High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
- 5 or more years’ experience in a relevant support services position.
- Minimum of 3 years of Gulf experience in similar position with Corporate Housing / Industrial Organization is essential.
- Good command of English language.
- Valid Qatari or a transferable driving license.
- Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.
- People management and basic leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and should be IT knowledgeable.
