**Business Support Officer - Contracts & Procurement**

**About the role**

As a Business Support officer, you will be providing logístical and administrative support to the operational departments within Corporate Services, for efficient and effective delivery of the organizational goals. From analyzing business performance, managing service level agreements and budgets, to ensuring business performance aligns with the company goals, this position plays a pivotal role in the successful delivery of the operational section.

**Accountabilities**
- Review new tender requirements and initiate formal requests in consultation with the department SMEs so that they are clear and complete for prospective suppliers to understand and quote accordingly.
- Prepare draft technical/commercial evaluation summary for the technical/commercial proposals received against the tenders to enable timely submission of the evaluation reports.
- Coordinate/arrange technical clarification meetings with the tenderers and document the minutes of the meeting for onward submission to QR Tenders.
- Liaison SPOC with contracts division (except Tenancy contracts) for all matters like issuance, queries, renewals/expiry, terminations, performance bank guarantees, Liquidated damages etc.
- Own the CS supply chain function from Purchase Enquiry (PE), Purchase Request (PR), Purchase Order (PO) to Receipt of goods (DN, GRN) & Unique Identification Number (UIN) generation to resolve bottlenecks (if any) so that the vendor payments are seamlessly processed.
- Review supporting documentation and raise CMCs where applicable so that spend is approved by the correct authorities before a vendor commitment is initiated.
- Recommend raising Single Source Requests or Urgent Approvals in e-sourcing after evaluating the importance and urgency of the business needs and prepare justifications for the same so that the management can make an informed judgement.

Qualifications

**About you**

You will possess:

- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.

OR
- High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience.
- 5 or more years’ experience in a relevant support services position.
- Minimum of 3 years of Gulf experience in similar position with Corporate Housing / Industrial Organization is essential.
- Good command of English language.
- Valid Qatari or a transferable driving license.
- Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.
- People management and basic leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and should be IT knowledgeable.
