Your day-to-day
- Follow HACCP guidelines and ensure that colleagues comply with HACCP guidelines
- Prepares and bakes all bakery items for menu and catered events following standardized recipes
- Looks after the full bread and pastries production line
- Ensure the food cost of his Bakery is in line with budget kitchen operating supplies, and kitchen energy costs
- Estimates baking needs, requisitions adequate supplies, inventories supplies, and keeps records of products made and used
- Manage inventory, ensuring all necessary ingredients and supplies are stocked and available
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new pastry-baker techniques, incorporating them into our menu and offerings
- Manage costs and budget for the pastry department, ensuring profitability while maintaining quality
- Assist in creating and updating menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
What We need from you:
- Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Culinary Skills or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of working experience as a baker in well-known international hotel brands
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees, and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand, and the Company.
- Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
- Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to design and create new pastry recipes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage inventory and costs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with other departments
- Flexibility and adaptability
