**What we want**

The Research Assistant will work on the research which aims to assess the impact of green transportation targets on the level of demand and how they will affect the demand curves (daily, weekly, and annual). The outcome of the research will support planning of the generation capacity and transmission expansion for 2030 and beyond. The research involves:

- Literature Review to gather case studies from other countries, review methodologies to conduct the research, and Qatar implementation plan for the targets.
- Data collection on transportation, for example, the average charging duration, the preferable charging time, average electricity consumption of EV, and locations of charging.
- Perform data mining and analysis to assess the impact on demand level and profile.

**What you need to know**

**Salary**:Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

**Required Education**:
Appropriate Bachelor's

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform data mining and analysis to assess the impact on demand level and profile
- Literature review on methodologies to assess the impact of EVs on demand
- Collect data on EVs charging such as duration, locations, and consumption
- Write research papers and reports
- Perform other Duties as assigned
