Customer Service Head Position Available

We are seeking a highly skilled Banking Operations Specialist to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and training a team of tellers to deliver cash-related services to customers efficiently and effectively.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading bank in the Middle East and Africa region.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of tellers to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Transaction Management: Efficiently manage branch cash and other teller-related transactions to meet pre-approved branch targets.
- Control Measures: Establish and maintain adequate controls to prevent cash shortages or misappropriations.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve complaints promptly and effectively.
- Information Sharing: Provide accurate information to external and internal auditors and the Compliance function when required.
- Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with related units to achieve Group objectives.
- Load Balancing: Manage counter loads to minimize customer waiting periods.
- Teller Supervision: Oversee all transactions processed within the teller area and maintain safe custody of cash/valuables.
- Transaction Processing: Ensure tellers process transactions according to approved policies/procedures and regulatory guidelines.
- Authorization: Authorize transactions exceeding individual tellers' authority but within delegated limits.
- Liaison Role: Coordinate with personnel responsible for transporting cash to/from the central vault to ensure timely availability while minimizing excess cash holdings.
- Reporting and Resolution: Review teller end-of-day reports against source documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Cash Verification: Conduct cash counts in the vault against documentary records and resolve any discrepancies.
- Clearing and Remittances: Forward clearing items and remittance requests to the concerned department/unit without delay.
- Opportunity Identification: Identify opportunities to cross-sell products/services offered to customers.
- Staff Development: Participate in staff rotation and development when necessary.
- Security Management: Monitor and review branch security procedures, controlling access to the vault.
