Job Summary

\

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Alumni Relations Coordinator to join our team at the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST). In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to foster strong relationships between UDST and its alumni.

\

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field, including experience in career development, alumni relations, or a related field. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, and fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is essential.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with the Career Services Senior Specialist to facilitate opportunities for alumni and students to network with professionals from business and industry and attend career-related professional development opportunities.\
  • Planning and coordinating meetings/events that include alumni and volunteer recognition banquets, receptions, and reunions.\
  • Coordinating the design, editing, and publishing of the alumni newsletter to ensure that content is appropriate, engaging, and in line with branding guidelines.\
  • Assisting in the development of the alumni web page and social media pages to ensure alignment with UDST guidelines, content is kept up to date, activities and events are promoted, and alumni success stories are shared on a regular basis.\
  • Establishing and building relationships with successful alumni associations at other higher education institutions to enable sharing of best practice.\
  • Identifying and liaising with local businesses and external stakeholders interested in supporting the Alumni Association through sponsorship of Alumni events and activities.\
  • Preparing the annual Alumni Report and producing event and activity reports, to evaluate the effectiveness of existing and proposed strategies for alumni relations and their contribution to achievement of strategic goals.\
  • Coordinating and producing reports, proposals, and analysis for management, to include monthly budget to actual reviews of areas of programmatic responsibility, periodic reports to reflect relevant data gathering and analysis, and post-event reports and recommendations.\
  • Developing, sustaining, and strengthening alumni chapters which focus on establishing and maintaining connections through academic/degree programs.\
  • Develops and presents educational programs for alumni, including lectures, seminars, and workshops.\
  • Tracking alumni data, including attendance, participation, graduation rates, education progress, and job history.\
  • Ensuring alumni programs operate in compliance with funding sources so that intended results are achieved.\
  • Producing statistical reports and analysis of relevant data, as required by the line manager.\
  • Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.\
