Host/Hostess Job Description

Crew is seeking a skilled and friendly Host/Hostess to join our team. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Welcome and Seating: Greet guests upon arrival, welcome them to Crew, and escort them to their assigned dining or bar area.
  • Reservation Management: Manage reservations, provide accurate wait times, and monitor waiting lists to ensure a smooth dining experience.
  • Communication and Coordination: Coordinate with wait staff to ensure seamless service, provide menus, and announce the Waiter/Waitress's name.
  • Customer Service: Cater to guests who require extra attention, answer incoming calls, and address customer queries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Team Support: Assist wait staff as needed and maintain a clean reception area to ensure a positive experience for all guests.
Qualifications:
  • Previous Experience: Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess or in a related role.
  • Restaurant Etiquette: Understanding of restaurant etiquette and health and safety regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both in-person and via phone.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
  • Availability: Availability to work in shifts as needed and maintain a good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift.
