About the Role

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager to lead our Supply Chain and Operations team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth and delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with external clients at the executive level, providing strategic guidance and support to drive business outcomes.
  2. Problem-Solving: Collaborate with clients to identify and solve complex business problems, leveraging our expertise and solutions to become a trusted advisor.
  3. Business Development: Lead and support opportunity pursuits, practice development initiatives, proposals, and thought leadership to drive business growth and expansion.
  4. Project Delivery: Deliver strategic projects successfully, specifically in the Energy Sector, covering Oil and Gas and Utilities, and deploying leading and industry-standard frameworks.
  5. Team Management: Manage and mentor multiple EY colleagues across levels and client team members, providing guidance and support to help them progress in their careers.
  6. Brand Enhancement: Enhance our brand through strong external relationships across a network of existing and future clients, promoting our expertise and services.
  7. Partnership Development: Develop and lead partnerships with alliance partners, such as SAP, IBM, and Microsoft, to drive business growth and innovation.
  8. Knowledge Sharing: Lead with confidence to actively promote emerging platforms and share knowledge and best practices across the organization.
  9. External Eminence: Develop external eminence across the sub-capabilities in the utilities space, promoting our expertise and thought leadership.
  10. Knowledge Forum: Promote an effective forum for sharing Supply Chain and Sector expertise, driving innovation and business growth.
  11. Functional and Technical Consulting: Help grow our functional and technical consulting skills in the sector, contributing to the development of our own and team's acumen and helping resolve our clients' challenges in Utilities and Oil and Gas.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Approximately 12+ years of work experience covering in Power and Utilities Sector with capabilities and/or leadership experience and a proven track record of transformational experience to achieve positive outcomes and change in the organization.
  2. Senior Manager/Director Experience: Prior Senior Manager/Director experience in consulting (Big Four, Strategy House or equivalent) or VP/Director experience in Utilities and Energy sector companies.
  3. Expert Knowledge: Expert knowledge and understanding of the Energy sector, including experience in implementing Digital or Technology Platform Solutions (ERP related) or Digital related solutions.
  4. Supply Chain Experience: Supply Chain experience in Planning, Procurement, Asset Management, Advanced Meter Infrastructure, and Intelligent Operations.
  5. Business Development Experience: Proven track record of leading large-scale business development activities.
  6. Relocation: Willingness to relocate.
  7. Education: A bachelor's degree with an emphasis on Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics with strong academic records.
  8. Leadership and Communication Skills: Experience managing staff on multiple projects and providing direction to team members, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Language Skills: Preferably Arabic speaking.
  2. Regional Experience: Experience in the Power and Utilities Sector in GCC.
  3. Strategic Portfolio and Project Management Experience: Strategic Portfolio and or Project and Portfolio Management experience with leading Utilities.
  4. Digital Transformation Experience: Experience in Digital Transformation and enhancing Customer Experience.
  5. Industry Certifications: Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, KAIZEN will be an added/preferred advantage.
