About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Cargo Safety and Security Manager to join our team at lxbfYeaa. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive aviation Safety and Security management systems that comply with National and International regulations and standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and Implement Safety and Security Management Systems: Create and maintain a comprehensive Safety and Security management system that meets or exceeds industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that all Safety and Security measures meet or exceed the required standards, and that all employees are aware of and comply with these regulations.
  • Oversee Occupational Health and Safety: Create and maintain a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with Qatar Airways OHS policies and regulations.
  • Provide Reporting and Analysis: Provide accessible, regular reporting to assist the business in identifying any negative trends and implementing proactive measures towards the reduction of safety & security occurrences.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in Safety and Security management, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in a mid to large scale operational environment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent, and will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Investigation Techniques: Experience in conducting investigations and analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Principles of Safety Management System Implementation: Knowledge of the principles of Safety Management System implementation and the ability to apply them in a real-world setting.
  • Hazard and Risk Management: Experience in identifying and mitigating hazards and risks in a Safety and Security management context.
  • NEBOSH Diploma in OHS Management: Possession of a NEBOSH Diploma in OHS Management or equivalent.
  • Security Management Training: Experience in Security management training and the ability to apply this knowledge in a real-world setting.
  • Fluent in Spoken and Written English: Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
  • Expert Knowledge of Operational Safety and Security Procedures: Possession of expert knowledge of operational Safety and Security procedures and the ability to apply this knowledge in a real-world setting.
  • Comprehensive Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Concepts: Possession of a comprehensive understanding of Occupational Health and Safety concepts, theories, and principles.
  • Knowledgeable in Safety Standards as Set by ICAO/IATA: Knowledge of Safety standards as set by ICAO/IATA and the ability to apply this knowledge in a real-world setting.
  • Knowledgeable in Security Standards as Per QCAA/IATA: Knowledge of Security standards as per QCAA/IATA and other regulatory bodies, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a real-world setting.
  • Proven Performance Results: A proven track record of delivering results in a Safety and Security management context.
  • Demonstrates the Highest Standards of Integrity, Equality, and Respect: Possession of the highest standards of integrity, equality, and respect, and the ability to demonstrate these values in a real-world setting.
