Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Location: Doha, Qatar

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at BITECH Middle East. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support and asset management, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. End-user Support:
    Provide technical assistance and support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner. Assist users with IT-related problems and provide step-by-step guidance.
  2. IT Asset Management:
    Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware and software inventory. Track and manage the lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to disposal. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with asset management policies.
  3. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:
    Identify and troubleshoot hardware and software issues promptly. Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex problems. Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference.
  4. Software Installation and Configuration:
    Install, configure, and update software applications based on user requirements. Ensure all software installations adhere to licensing agreements and organizational policies.
  5. Security and Compliance:
    Implement and enforce IT security policies to safeguard sensitive information. Stay updated on security trends and proactively address potential vulnerabilities.
  6. User Training:
    Conduct training sessions for end-users on IT best practices and effective use of technology.
  7. Collaboration and Communication:
    Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to improve overall IT efficiency. Communicate effectively with end-users, providing clear and concise instructions.
Qualifications and Skills

  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in IT support and asset management.
  3. Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
  4. Familiarity with ITIL practices and principles.
  5. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or equivalent will be a plus.
