Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation that values innovation and excellence.

We're seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join their team in a challenging and rewarding role.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

You'll be responsible for providing commercial support to the General Manager, preparing financial forecasts and budgets, managing statutory obligations, and ensuring effective credit control processes.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a talented team to drive business growth and success.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing commercial support to the General Manager in sales contracts.
  2. Preparing management accounts for the laboratory/business.
  3. Preparing budgets and forecasts in consultation with the GM and management team and assistance from the shared services team.
  4. Analysing business performance against key business metrics and documenting pertinent financial highlights.
  5. Working closely with the GM in the day-to-day performance management of the laboratory.
  6. Operating as a member of the management team of the business.
  7. Managing statutory obligations from an accounting point of view.
  8. Managing taxation of the laboratory/business.
  9. Managing credit control function using a team of credit controllers.
  10. Ensuring controls are in place in the accounting for processed samples and samples in process.
  11. Working with the shared services team for continuous improvement.
  12. Identifying, investigating and analysing potential operational improvements and proposing changes.

Requirements

  1. Flair for numbers.
  2. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with people at all levels.
  3. Able to anticipate impacts of workload issues to team deadlines.
  4. Strong experience in Profit and Loss statement analysis.
  5. Experience working with big ERP systems (SAP, JDE, MS Dynamics etc.).
  6. Experience working with business intelligence software and reporting tools.
  7. Advanced Excel skills, ability to work with functions, lookup and PIVOT tables.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  9. Strong organisational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  10. Ability to work with people from different cultures and be culturally sensitive.
  11. Career accounting/finance professional with 3 to 5 years in a similar position in a Multinational Organisation.
  12. Graduate in accounting and CA or CPA or ICWA desirable.
