Aretè & Cocchi Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Completion Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the mechanical completion process, ensuring that all requirements are met.

Job Description

The Mechanical Completion Specialist will work closely with other functions to define and manage related documentation, verify that mechanical completion requirements are accounted for in engineering documents, and participate in project review meetings.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and excellent communication skills. They will be able to analyze complex data, identify project requirements and constraints, and develop effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  1. Review contractual documentation for mechanical completion related issues and identify project requirements and constraints.
  2. Verify that mechanical completion requirements are accounted for in engineering documents.
  3. Take part in project planning and scheduling.
  4. Prepare and keep up-to-date the mechanical completion execution plans, including mobilization of personnel.
  5. Supervise/coordinate the preparation of the test pack (mechanical completion dossier) as per contractual requirements.
  6. Supervise/coordinate the preparation of the Mechanical Completion procedure, definitions of the mechanical completion philosophy, and preparation of all checklists and relevant check sheets; submit the procedure and check sheets to Company for approval.
  7. Manage the Mechanical Completion software, verifying that all itemization data are complete.
  8. Verify that check data forms are coherent with identified items.
  9. Ensure interfaces with the Construction/Fabrication team and assist as needed.
  10. Participate in the preparation of the HSE Plan for Mechanical Completion Activities.
  11. Define specific temporary logistics required complying with the project scope of work, elaborate tools, and methods of control.
  12. Take part in project review meetings to ensure that the Mechanical completion requirements have been duly complied with.
  13. Define and review mechanical completion consumables and materials.
  14. Ensure preparation and checking of the Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Technical Evaluation falling within own sphere of responsibility.
  15. Assist during definition of subcontractor scope of works if required.
  16. Check conformity and congruence of technical documentation received from Head Office Engineering and/or Client and shop drawings issued by yard Production Engineering and Methods function.
  17. Ensure interface with vendor's representatives together with relevant Engineers/Superintendents.
  18. Supervise/coordinate the inspection, checking, and testing to assure the completeness and quality of the fabrication in accordance with design documentation and specifications, company standards, and vendor's instructions.
  19. Supervise/review the mechanical completion dossier, submit to Company for review and certification.
  20. Contribute, in collaboration with Yard Prod. Eng. Project Coordinator, to back charge notifications to vendors for own sphere of responsibility.
  21. Plan punch list activities and related workforce to accomplish it.
  22. Manage and categorize punch list in coordination with other functions (engineering, construction, Client, quality, hookup, pre-commissioning, commissioning).
  23. Ensure that all corrective actions to close the punch list are performed.
