The Role Description

We are seeking a skilled Residence Accountant to join our finance team. As a key member, you'll manage the financial aspects of residential operations, ensuring the homeowner's interests are protected while upholding Four Seasons' reputation as a property manager.

You'll collaborate closely with the Regional Director of Finance to oversee financial tasks, maintain regulatory compliance, and preserve the integrity of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Task Management: Manage day-to-day finance activities, report preparation, and analysis for informed decision-making.
  2. Financial Compliance: Implement sound financial controls, adhering to corporate policies and procedures.
  3. Vendor Relationship Management: Oversee vendor payments and reconcile vendor accounts periodically.
  4. Contract Oversight: Safeguard residence assets, reviewing and renewing contracts as necessary.
  5. Fund Administration: Handle funds, perform monthly account reconciliations, and ensure adherence to established policies.
  6. Accounts Aging Monitoring: Monitor Accounts Receivable aging and service charge collections, aligning with governing documents and local standards.
  7. Capital Reserves: Maintain a capital reserve fund for FF&E, plant, and machinery replacements, contributing to long-term infrastructure planning as required.
  8. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, along with essential statements to Residence owners during general meetings.
  9. Payroll Support: Process payroll for residence accountant staff.
  10. Journal Entry Processing: Enter all journal entries (bank, assessments, fees, accruals) for the Residence entity.
  11. P&L Examination: Analyze the Profit & Loss statement of Residences with DOF and DORES.
