Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Revenue Director to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing hotel revenues across rooms, food and beverage outlets, meetings and events, and spa services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Optimization
    • Closely monitor competitive pricing and understand the impact of relative pricing decisions on property performance.
    • Perform competitor checks and report as appropriate.
  • Revenue Strategy
    • Lead the weekly revenue and monthly revenue strategy meetings.
    • Attend the weekly group pipeline meeting.
  • Revenue Analysis
    • Provide analysis of demand factors, competitive positioning, and future outlook and trends.
  • Revenue Management
    • Ensure that the hotel's revenue management practices are consistent with hotel policies and procedures.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports to include production, trends, booking patterns, and channel analysis.
  • Distribution Channel Management
    • Evaluate distribution channels, including costs, commissions, number of reservations, and revenue.
    • Provide potential reasons for performance.
  • Revenue System Management
    • Actively manage the hotel's revenue system - IDEAS (RMS).
  • Group and Transient Production
    • Monitor transient and group production to ensure an optimal mix is maintained.
    • Evaluate group booking requests to ensure that the hotel is not displacing higher-yielding revenue.
  • Revenue Forecasting
    • Analyze the impact of the revenue management strategy being implemented by the Mondrian Doha team.
    • Advise relevant changes as needed.
  • Rate and Availability Management
    • Ensure that the hotel's position in the GDS and other distribution channels is consistent with the hotel's selling strategies.
    • Conduct rate and availability audits.
    • Maintain rate parity across all channels.
  • Rate Plan Management
    • Ensure that all rate plans are built in accordance with established Mondrian Doha guidelines.
  • Business Planning
    • Accurately forecast Mondrian Doha's short-term (weekly) and long-term (30, 60, and 90 days) business outlook.
  • Team Management
    • Assist the DOSM in identifying soft periods and developing promotions and strategies.
    • Assist with all aspects of the annual budget preparation and development of the hotel's annual business/marketing plan.
  • Training and Development
    • Develop, train, and provide guidance to the Revenue Analyst/Distribution Executive/Reservations Team through day-to-day management.
  • Communication
    • Participate in all revenue conference calls with Corporate.
  • Relationship Management
    • Assist in managing relationships with third-party online intermediaries, especially OTAs and regional travel agents.
  • Hotel Guidelines
    • Ensure that all hotel corporate guidelines are up to date and adhered to by the hotel team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of revenue management experience in multiple hotels. Multi-brands and luxury segment preferable.
  • A university degree preferably in the area of business or hospitality.
  • A strong background in either rooms or sales.
  • Experience working with automated revenue management software.
  • Experience in project planning/execution.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
