About the Role
As a Material Manager at Baker Hughes Company, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of inventory, ensuring that spare parts are delivered to site on time and in good condition. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Your goal is to optimize the stock levels and ensure that all necessary parts are available for maintenance events.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Participate in the delivery of spare parts at site, identifying discrepancies and defects.
  2. Advise on PARTS database population in CMMS by customer.
  3. Raise Parts requests in CMMS and expedite Parts procurement.
  4. Keep records of types, quantities, dates of manufacture of Parts currently held in Stock including identification of expired parts and suggest corrective actions for the re-conditioning of deteriorated or damaged spare parts.
  5. Recommend preservation procedures and inform CUSTOMER regarding the quality of preservation and storage of PARTS in general.
  6. Inspect parts in stock periodically, and/or while collected from the stock for an operation, either onshore or offshore, and notify customer for any visible defect, possibly activating maintenance of the concerned parts, especially capital parts.
  7. Provide counselling for possible optimization of the stock including types and numbers of strategic spares.
  8. Collaborate with customer warehouse keeper in the preparation of PARTS and tools necessary for a maintenance event, and the shipment of such material back to CUSTOMER warehouse after usage.
  9. Participate in the outage preparation process: provide a stock report 18 months before a planned maintenance event, supporting the requisition of parts for Planned outage.
  10. Monitor the arrival of parts, and update customer about the stock replenishment status.
  11. In case of an Unplanned maintenance event, perform stock assessment and provide support to the customer for the provision of needed parts at site.
  12. Conduct or arrange relevant training for warehouse keepers.
