About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Ecommerce Category Director to lead our online marketplace categories, including electronics, pharmacy, flowers, and lifestyle beauty.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving growth and profitability, building strong supplier relationships, and enhancing customer experiences.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Developing and executing comprehensive strategies to drive growth and profitability across Electronics, Pharmacy, Flowers, and Lifestyle Beauty categories.
  2. Maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiating favorable terms and agreements to ensure a diverse and high-quality product assortment.
  3. Expanding our product portfolio within each category by staying abreast of market trends and evolving customer preferences.
  4. Implementing pricing and promotional strategies to maximize revenue and profitability, monitoring performance metrics and making data-driven decisions to drive business outcomes.
  5. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Operations, and Technology to ensure seamless integration and execution of marketplace initiatives.
  6. Leading and mentoring a team of Category Managers and Analysts, providing guidance and support to drive professional development and achieve departmental goals.
  7. Conducting regular performance reviews and deep analysis of category performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  8. Spearheading the 1PL strategy, leading the end-to-end merchandising and purchasing functions—this includes managing supplier negotiations, securing favorable deals and rebates, optimizing inventory days, and ensuring cost efficiency. Train and guide the team on effective procurement processes to strengthen overall buying capabilities.
  9. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards across all product categories, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and trust.
