PrecisionHire Solutions is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer – Retail Clothing to join our team within our Buying department. The successful candidate will work closely with our Buying Role in terms of School Uniforms & wider team to ensure that sales, stock, and margin targets are achieved.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and a deep understanding of the retail clothing industry. They will also have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for:

  • Building relationships with suppliers to ensure they understand our business goals and customer needs
  • Demonstrating a deep understanding of the business and customer, identifying and acting on opportunities to add value
  • Ensuring product is sourced from the best options possible, driving quality and delivering margin
  • Analyzing sales and performance data to enable trade reactions to be implemented where required
  • Organizing and managing photo samples ready for upcoming meetings and photoshoots
  • Embedding and delivering against the defined Stage and Gate process
  • Taking full ownership of the Critical Path from concept through to arrival in store/online, ensuring speed to market up-front and facilitating trade
  • Being accountable for their supply base delivering against the strategy including quality, margin, and speed to market
  • Spearheading the Supplier strategy; planning from 6 – 24 months ahead, understanding in detail the risks and opportunities, ensuring the allocation of business is always approached strategically
