Job Summary

This role involves overseeing the management of the Qatar Foundation's art collections, activating these assets through various activities, and managing related contracts. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing art strategies, contributing to budget preparation, and policy/procedure development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine arts or a related field, with 2-5 years of experience in a museum, gallery, or arts space setting. Excellent planning, time management, and content knowledge are essential, as is proficiency in MS Office applications and Arabic language skills (an advantage).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing art strategies, including loan agreements, logistics, risk assessment, and display conditions
  • Overseeing internship and volunteer programs, creating policies and procedures, and managing interns
  • Supporting content development around the collection/assets, including curriculum design inputs and marketing materials
  • Coordinating art exhibitions, including logistics, agreement documents, and installation/de-installation supervision
  • Supporting research initiatives, delivering workshops, and creating research protocols
  • Overseeing digitization projects and outsourced contractors/consultants for collection care and conservation
  • Delivering Art Trails tours for visitors
