We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Qatar Airways Group. As a key member of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate the production of meals in all shifts, ensuring timely delivery to the operations department.
  • Monitor and control food costs, minimizing wastage and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Supervise and train staff to maintain high standards of cooking, presentation, and food safety.
  • Collaborate with the Line Manager to develop and implement menu plans, ensuring alignment with airline specifications and HACCP guidelines.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, equipment, and cooking processes to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of JD Edwards Enterprise One System, Bin conveyor, and GN tray management system to optimize food preparation and service.
  • Lead by example, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the kitchen team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced airline or hospitality environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and quality control principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality delivery.
