Job Description
- We're seeking a hands-on Business Development Specialist to join our team and drive the growth of our Arabic-language knowledge solutions.
- As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with technical teams to evaluate business potential, identify target audiences, develop go-to-market strategies, and guide spin-off or acquisition opportunities.
- You'll collaborate daily with product owners, engineers, and leadership to ensure strategy and execution move forward in sync.
- Additionally, you'll guide and lead engagement with external stakeholders, leveraging your expertise to drive successful partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Project Assessment: Review existing projects, determine viability, and propose next steps (e.g., stay in-house vs. spin-off).
- Market Research: Conduct focused research on target users, competitors, and trends in Arabic-language education and knowledge-sharing.
- Business Case Development: Build clear, concise business plans and market-entry strategies in tandem with product teams.
- Customer Development: Identify and engage target customers and refine product-market fit to drive scalable venture growth.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work side-by-side with product owners, sharing insights and helping align technical roadmaps with market needs.
- Fundraising & Partner Outreach: Participate in discussions with potential investors or strategic partners, preparing materials and presenting business cases.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in product strategy, venture development, or business consulting (startup or tech background a plus).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Team-focused mindset; able to collaborate effectively with technical colleagues and co-lead projects.
- Familiarity with the MENA market and/or Arabic-language products is highly valued.
- Preferable candidates would have built successful projects themselves.
