Job Title: Document Controller

At PrecisionHire Solutions, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a centralized database for project documents, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all documents.
  • Input documents and data into the system, adhering to approved procedures and protocols.
  • Establish and maintain a data management program for identifying and recording all project documents in the engineering surveillance database.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for communication and document handling among engineering teams, site teams, and Owners teams worldwide.
  • Verify the satisfactory receipt and indexing of data transmitted from various locations.
  • Ensure the secure transmission of engineering drawings and related communications to the correct recipients, upholding contractual obligations.
  • Enter and identify all design phase documentation into the project's data management system.

  • Adhere to all relevant SHEQ policies, procedures, instructions, and controls to provide a safe, world-class, secure, and environmentally responsible service.

  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, and procedures to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Others:
  • Perform any other related duties as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager to support shipbuilding initiatives and projects.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in a project environment, preferably in the oil and gas industry with a ship owner/operator, responsible for the design and construction of large vessels.
  • Knowledge of ships and marine nomenclature.
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
  • Proficient in the use of word processor, spreadsheet, and presentation software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work with figures and present summary figures in a clear, concise manner.
