Crew Rostering Officer

**About the role**:
Crew Rostering Officer is responsible for creating legal, optimised roster for pilots and cabin crew using specialised optimisation systems, and ensuring that all roster-related activities are performed within deadlines.
**Accountabilities**:
- Ensure QCAA regulations and requirements, company policies and procedures are complied with during planning and production of crew rosters.
- Assist with conducting analysis of various rosters “what if” scenarios.
- Build various roster scenarios to determine “best” solution within given parameters for the current roster planning period.
- Ensure roster production cycle is followed.
- Use Jeppesen Crew Rostering (JCR) system to achieve greatest balance of KPI’s within utilisation targets.
- Ensure required stand-by blocks are considered for each workgroup
- Process all roster pre-assignments (except leave and training) prior to rosters construction.
- Ensure timely receipt of all required roster information (including information from Crew Resources team) and notify the Lead Officer if any is not received within expected period.
- Constructively participate and offer information to improve business process and roster outcome.
- Support the Lead Officer to improve the roster quality and impact on crew satisfaction, absenteeism, attrition, morale, fatigue risk and operational integrity (e.g. rule buffer, standby coverage).
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Qualifications
**About you**
- High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma based on Role), Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.
Essential
- Experience in Crew Resources related role including Rostering.
Preferred
- Knowledge of crew management and roster optimization systems.
**Job Specific Skills**:
Essential
- Planning and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements & Flight Time Limitation Scheme.
- Understanding of crew rostering processes.
- Command of English language (Written and spoken).
- Proven ability to work constructively within a small team.
- Proven ability to maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Crew Management Systems.
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills.
