**Primary purpose of job**
Manage the day-to-day operations associated with the Offshore Jack-Up Barges operations by leading the team of Well

Services Supervisors to achieve QatarEnergy KPI and ensure safe and integral works are done at the Jack Up Lift Barge.

1. Management of the Well Services contractors and resolving operational problems in collaboration with the Head of Well

Services Operation.

2. Direct the daily activities of an offshore jack-up unit to ensure that all Well Services operations are conducted efficiently in

accordance with the well services programme and the Drilling Reference Manual (DRM)

3. Responsible for the critical operational actions and decisions to effectively manage jack-up lift barges activities in an

efficient and safe manner considering all safety concerns related to Barge moves, Pre-loading, LPA etc.

4. Manage HSE performance on the assigned offshore jack-up barges by enforcing the requirements of the Drilling

Reference Manual (DRM) and by participating in leading the accident investigation team for all high potential incidents

(including all Last Time Incidents) to ensure lessons are captured and corrective actions are taken across all drilling related

operations

5. Contribute to the formulation of procedures and operational programmes to achieve the offshore well services objectives

and ensure that the well services supervisors, Contractor Personnel and Service Company Personnel are aware of and

implement these procedures and programmes correctly.

6. Lead the well services supervisor team to resolve operational problems such as well kicks and stuck pipe events to

minimize lost time, safeguard the well bore integrity and avoid recurrence in future wells.

7. Generate the SOW and equipment specifications for the jack-up barges contracting process to ensure that contracted

barges and services are fit for purpose and includes up-to-date technology and equipment.

8. Conduct reviews of well services supervisors in accordance with the QatarEnergy process for the purpose of obtaining

the highest performance from the WSS’s team as well as identifying development and training needs.
9. Develop and train Qatari staff in accordance with QatarEnergy objectives to ensure the development of high calibre Well

Services Supervisors and Superintendents.

10. Define goals and objectives to lead the offshore well services supervisors and the service contractors to deliver a high

level of operational performance.

**Experience & Skills**:

- At least 15 years experience in offshore well services activities (Slickline, Logging, Well Integrity, Well testing, Stimulation
etc.).
- Offshore Experience with H2S & CO2 Environment.
- In-depth knowledge of oil industry practices and specification such as API standards and recommended practices.
- Knowledge of computer programs (Excel-Word-PowerPoint-Outlook).
- Fluent in English (demonstrated verbal and written skills)
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Commitment and passion for managing HSE.
- Ability and confidence to make operational decisions based on methodical analysis and meticulous attention to detail.

**Education**:

- BSc. in an engineering discipline (Preference for Petroleum Engineering)
