JOB DESCRIPTION**:Mechanical Estimation Engineer (HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting)**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Cost Estimation & Analysis**:

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical works including HVAC systems, plumbing installations, and firefighting systems.
- Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documents to create accurate cost breakdowns.
- Provide both preliminary and final project estimates based on scope and requirements.
- Estimate quantities of materials, labour, and equipment required for the project.
- Review and update estimates as designs evolve or changes occur.
- **Technical Evaluation**:

- Review project blueprints and specifications to understand the scope of work.
- Identify potential technical risks or challenges in the mechanical systems and propose solutions.
- Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure the accurate implementation of design plans.
- Assess the integration of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems with other building systems.
- **Vendor and Supplier Coordination**:

- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers.
- Ensure materials and systems meet required codes and quality standards.
- Recommend cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and performance.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:

- Prepare and maintain a comprehensive database of cost estimates, historical data, and benchmarks for future projects.
- Provide regular reports on project status, cost analysis, and discrepancies to the project manager or stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment, and labour costs.
- **Compliance & Regulations**:

- Ensure all mechanical systems are compliant with relevant local and international codes, regulations, and standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- **Value Engineering**:

- Suggest alternatives and value-engineering solutions to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Focus on improving the efficiency and performance of the proposed mechanical systems.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience in mechanical estimation within HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting sectors.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design, installation, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and standards in HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with different teams and stakeholders.
- Good time management and organizational skills.

**Experience**:

- Typically requires 3+ years of experience in mechanical estimation, particularly in HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial projects is preferred.

**Working Conditions**:

- Office-based with occasional site visits to gather information and assess project needs.
- May require work in a fast-paced environment, especially near project deadlines.

Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR4,000.00 per month
