Role Overview As a Group, Ooredoo has been trailing its peers on capital returns metrics and valuation and is since 2021 pursuing a strategy to crystallize shareholder value of owned assets through carve outs that result in divisions with own P&Ls and are related to higher multiples or successive monetization by selling of stakes to strategic investors (majority or minority). Ooredoo has identified mainly three key areas to pursue in this context: towers, datacentres and Fintech. The role-holder is responsible for providing specialized expertise and support in the field of Adjacencies. They will play a critical role in analysing and implementing Adjacencies strategies to optimize operational efficiency and drive business growth. The Specialist Adjacencies will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and ensure effective implementation of Adjacencies initiatives. Core Responsibilities - Assist the Senior Director to design the new organizational structure for carved out entities such as towers, datacentres or Fintech. - Responsible for crafting the job descriptions together with colleagues for HR so that recruiting activities can be driven at high quality based on specific JDs. - Conceptualize components of transitions such as employee communication, "day1 onboarding experiences" or practicalities such as moving employee data from pre-existing IT systems to new systems if there are or provisions for retirement/end of service benefits to be transitioned. - Assist in the development of board level material for board or board subcommittees with guidance of head of projects & adjacencies that drive value creation for shareholders in the most suitable and entrepreneurial manner. - Assist in the recruitment of positions under the new Adjacencies structures. - Assist with the HR operations and services for new and transferred employees. - Identify and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness and impact of HR initiatives. - Continuously evaluate and improve existing processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and drive cost savings. Qualification and Experience - Minimum 5-7 years of experience preferable in the Telco industry (not just functional) - Excellent process & organizational design skills supported with outstanding understanding of how process and org design decisions impact the business. - Excellent and deep understanding of policies at Ooredoo OpCos and OG. - Solid understanding of HR (IT) systems used in the group and related capabilities of the systems if there are. - Ideally work experience in start-ups and solid understanding of what needs to be done to build a new entity. Core Competencies - HR work experience of 8 years - Process & org design expertise of at least 8 years - Must have worked in developing markets, ideally in a multinational environment. - 4-5 years telecoms industry background - Excellent communicator
