**OPD CLINICAL SCHEDULER**

**KEY REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, preferably nursing
- English, Arabic Preferred

**FUNCTION**:

- Assisting the control desk staff in providing clinical-related information to the patient. Act as the patient’s advocate during all stages of their OPD appointment to diagnosis and subsequent treatment. Activities include documentation, providing counseling, education, support and advice to patients, their families and care givers
- Act as a quality and service improvement facility in improving the service delivered
- Prepare patient files when required book follow up appointments match patient booking to available clinic/diagnostics availability
- Educate or answer patient queries related to triage, appointment time frames, or doctor’s decision
- Act as a link between the doctor and the patient for any clinical information requested by the patient
- Promote MDT working and invite suitable healthcare professionals to contribute to patient pathway as appropriate
- Counsel, educate, support and advise patients their families and care givers on possible treatment plans, approaches and lifestyle adaptation.
- Lead and contribute to specialty clinical audit and develop action plans from the findings
- Provide direct support to the control desk staff in providing clinical-related information to the patient
- Be the patient’s advocate during all stages of their OPD appointment from initial consultation through to diagnosis and subsequent treatment
- Provide documentation, counseling, education, support and advice to patients and their families/care givers
- Constantly review quality & seek to develop improvement plans using evidence-based practices and methodologies
- Ensure appropriate clinic time is allocated based on patient referral
- Have a nursing qualification and use experience to develop and improve patient pathways and experience
- Escalate care plans when appropriate to do so

**Salary**: QAR1.00 per month
