Senior Ground Services Officer

**About the role**:
As a **Senior Ground Services Officer** responsible for accountable to secure all handling services and permits for the flying schedule. Co-ordinate and ensure all handling activities are in place and provide quality handling services to the aircraft at all stations. Maintain operational economy in choosing the handlers and agents for handling services and permits. Provide analysis of the handling company performance to Management time to time. The role supports the complaints from the sales department and service recovery processes where required due to disruption to the schedule.

**Accountabilities**:

- Proactively support the operations with ground handling services.
- Accountable to deliver all services with timely set-up of the flights.
- Deliver accurate and timely set-up of ad-hoc and short notice flights.
- Ensure that all overfly and landing permits are in place as per regulatory requirements.
- Credibly present all handling services lapses to the line management team.
- Build and maintain all ground services and the cost details to enhance cost effective operation.
- Manage all complaints from Sales, if there are issues raised by the client with respect to handling services.
- Ensure that OE service quality excellence and service recovery initiatives are observed.
- To contribute to a/o, lead adhoc projects associated with ground services for contract preparation and cost analysis.
- Determine the time frame for securing overflying, landing permits and slots.
- Conduct security assessment for final destinations and tech stops.
- Determine insurance applicability.
- Request overflight and landing permits.
- Make arrangement for ground handling services.
- Update operational system with flight related information.
- Make arrangement with fuel procurement and refueling.
- Seek regulatory authority approvals for permits, military handling and parking confirmation.
- Check for falcons and if loaded in cabin for management approval.
- Arrange necessary approval for passenger flight attendant, infant on-board, arms & ammunitions.
- Check, prepare and send protocol notifications.
- e-APIS data filing for all countries where applicable.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

**About you**

**Educational Qualification**:
High school Qualification / Vocational Qualification / Diploma or Equivalent / Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience.

**Essential**
- Worked in Ground Services, Operations Controller and I or flight dispatcher.
- Conversant in business aviation processes, policies and procedures.

**Preferred**
- Holding Flight Dispatcher license or certificate issued by any regulatory authority.

**Job Specific Skills**:
**Essential**
- Evidence of airline industry technical and business courses.
- Command of English language.
- Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.

**Preferred**
- Analytical and detail-oriented, good comprehension skills.
- Above average IT skills which support accurate and timely analysis and report presentation.
