Dental Materials Coordinator

**_Key Accountabilities & Activities: _**
- Compile and maintain records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in establishment: Counts material, or supplies in stock and keeps inventory records, manually or using computer.
- Acquire needed supplies as inexpensively as possible.
- Obtain high quality supplies. Assure prompt and dependable delivery.
- Coordinate the distribution of materials and supplies in the clinics.
- Develop, implement, and monitor procedures for the utilization, storage and re-ordering of materials and supplies within the department.
- Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
- Maintain adequate operatory supplies and compiles a list of individual item shortages for inventory control and ordering purposes.
- Prepare order, maintain, and receive stock inventory. Ensure materials are stored in an appropriate place, in a correct way.
- Develop and maintain systems to monitor the flow of dentistry inventory and stock expiry date.
- Maintain materials and equipment in accordance with the manufacturer ’ s directions and applicable dental policies and protocols.
- Develop, implement, and maintain systems and procedures to insure cost control within budgeted allocations for equipment and supplies.
- Share with the team knowledge like materials, equipment requests and stock management etc.
- Assist in preparing of the department budget related to the area of assignment. Prepare statistics and reports as required.
- Participate in the formulation of policies and procedures for Dental Materials Management and implements approved policies within an assigned area (Sports Dentistry).
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures and objectives regarding continuous quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Comply with the approved relevant departmental policies, processes and standard operating procedures in order to ensure that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a high quality and cost-effective service.
- Assume or accept any other responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor within the position role and responsibility.Patient Safety-Attend and successfully complete competencies which focus on patient safety initiatives implemented within Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital. Patient Safety Training is an annual requirement, to include all organizational leaders, staff, service, and contracted providers.
**_Necessary knowledge and Experience to be able to do the job _**
3-5 years of related experience of which a minimum of 1 year should be in similar position.
**_Skills and Abilities _**
Good interpersonal skills, patient, fast learner, meticulous and pays attention to detail.
- Organized and methodical in carrying out tasks at hand.
- High proficiency in English language is mandatory. Arabic will be a definitive advantage.Good administrative skills and Microsoft office knowledge.
**_Education and Certification requirements: _**
Bachelor’s degree in administration.
Bachelor’s degree in dentistry will be a definitive plus.
