Coordinator – SPIR

The SPIR Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all Scaffolding, Painting, Insulation, and related activities to ensure safe, timely, and quality execution. The role liaises with operations, maintenance, contractors, and HSE teams to ensure compliance with project specifications, schedules, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate all SPIR activities (Scaffolding, Painting, Insulation) across site to ensure timely execution.
• Review work requests, drawings, and method statements for SPIR-related jobs.
• Allocate manpower, materials, and equipment for scaffolding, painting, and insulation work.
• Ensure all scaffolding structures are inspected and comply with safety standards (OSHA/EN/Company procedures).
• Monitor painting and insulation work for quality, thickness, and specification compliance.
• Maintain records of scaffolding inventory, inspection reports, painting/insulation logs, and daily progress.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure workers follow safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
• Coordinate with maintenance, operations, HSE, and procurement teams for material and schedule requirements.
• Report unsafe conditions, delays, or deviations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Support shutdowns/turnarounds by planning SPIR work, estimating manpower, materials, and timelines.

Key Requirements:
• Minimum 5+ years' experience in SPIR coordination within oil & gas, petrochemical, or power sectors.
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of scaffolding standards, painting systems, and insulation materials/practices.
• Ability to read technical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.
• Experience in contractor coordination, work planning, and daily progress reporting.
• Knowledge of HSE standards, PTW systems, and industrial safety practices.
• Strong communication, planning, and coordination skills.
