Opening in 2023, Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark.

The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country's biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North's Waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower is the world's highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.

What you will be doing:

  • To ensure a smooth and efficient operation in the Attraction Department and Communications Control in relation to the Company Core Process; thus, directly impacting the opening of the Leisure Facility, delivering the experience and closing the Leisure Facility.
  • Focuses on activities and quality standards that ensure the satisfaction of Guests/Customers (both external and internal)
  • Identifies and pursues opportunities to improve Guest/Customer service
  • To attend training and development programs in order to promote personal and career growth.
  • To create and deliver job specific training and competency testing to Hearties or nominate them for training in order to equip them with the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude to perform their job effectively and deliver out of this world experiences.
  • To conduct Hearties performance appraisals in a timely, fair and constructive manner in order to promote their personal and career growth.
  • To coach and discipline Hearties in a fair and consistent manner in order to motivate and improve performance.
  • To entertain, engage and empower Hearties to reduce turnover and increase retention.
  • To be a positive, consistent, and fair role model at all times, ensuring high standards of practice are maintained while motivating, influencing and supporting others to accomplish personal, Department and Company goals.
  • To communicate relevant information with Hearties in order to improve internal communication within the Department and Company.
  • To develop, standardize, assess, and review Department processes, policies, procedures, forms and reference documents in order to structure the Department and assist Hearties in their operational needs.
  • To develop and achieve Department and Company objectives, action plans and key performance indicators in order to support the Company Balanced Scorecard approach in achieving the Executive Strategic Plan.
  • To enforce and adhere to all Health, Safety policies and procedures for all Guests and Hearties.
  • To manage emergency situations that may arise in order to minimize possible damage, loss or injury to any Guests, Hearties or Company property.
  • To consistently deliver work of a high quality as well as maintaining focus on quality even when under pressure
  • Looks for ways of improving current approaches and methods to increase the commercial success of the organization
  • To ensure Colleague schedules, breaks and/or rotations are fair in order to increase productivity and maintain Colleague's wellbeing.
  • To listen actively and respond to Guest feedback as well as assess and review Guest Satisfaction Index results and trends in order to continuously improve and exceed Guest expectations.
  • To enforce Leisure Facility rules and provide crowd control in a friendly manner throughout the areas as necessary in order to ensure the Guest's safety and an enjoyable experience.
  • To ensure actual expenses do not exceed the Department budget in order to increase profit.
  • To maintain building, facilities, equipment and supplies in order to minimize damage, reduce waste and control costs.
  • To actively seek and implement cost saving programs in order to provide positive financial results.

Your experience and skills include:

  • High School / College diploma or equivalent qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of similar experience
  • Good with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and capable of creating visually compelling presentations
  • Experience of working Leisure and Hospitality
