As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Cargo's Corporate Planning Team in Doha as a Manager Cargo Corporate Planning.

About the role

In this role, you will oversee development of short/medium and long-term strategic initiatives, working on day-to-day functions, projects and ad-hoc tasks across the division. Coordinate sound analytic processing & market research with managers to support informed data driven decision making.

Additionally, formulate and deliver recommendations for management and the rest of the business.

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

  • Facilitate the development of the short/medium and long-term schedules and/or business cases for new or existing routes developed through comprehensive detailed analysis (inclusive of annual budget operating plan and 15-year operating plan).
  • Review and provide recommendations to maximize or enhance profitability by optimizing the allocation of capacity throughout the network (i.e. new destinations, frequency and gauge changes).
  • Support Aero political and Corporate Affairs with ad-hoc information requests; input QR Cargo's traffic rights' wish list annually and track progress.
  • Provide network/fleet recommendations for airline and non-airline partnerships ensuring alignment with overall strategic goals and objectives.
  • Manage the development of strategic long-term network/fleet plans in line with QR Group's objectives.
  • Lead market research requests emphasizing particularly on competitive intelligence and KPI benchmarking.
  • Manage the use of industry cargo network planning system and tools; validate inputs in regard to capacity, demand and costs; actively participate in RFPs for tools sourcing and procurement.

Qualifications

About you

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferably in Aeronautical Engineering, Economics, Business Studies, History and Geography with at least 5 years of job-related experience in an analytically demanding position.
  • Experience with an international global hub and bespoke airline.
  • High degree of proficiency with analytical tools (MS Excel, PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills with strong negotiation, presentation and influencing capabilities.
  • Leadership and strategic thinking capabilities, with a proven ability to lead cross functional and multi-cultural teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to nontechnical stakeholders.
