Opening in 2023, Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.

**Director of Waterpark Guest Experiences**

This position is responsible for the daily operations of Guest Experience department while promoting and maintaining exceptional guest standards. The role oversees and improves upon the day-to-day operations of ticketing, group sales, annual pass, turnstiles, information points, locker/towel/stroller/wheelchair rental, cabana services, lost & found, buggy services and valet parking.

**What you will be doing**:

- Ensure the establishment and execution of all departmental goals.
- Facilitate efficient, convenient and secure entry process to the waterpark.
- Ensure that all Guest Experience department colleagues provide the best possible service to the guest.
- Participate in daily operations alongside Guest Experience department colleagues by setting a positive example.
- Assist in the development of the Guest Experience department polices, standard operating procedures, performance standards, safety and evacuation procedures.
- Ensure that all team members have a complete understanding of and adherence to the policies, standard operating procedures, performance standards, safety and evacuation procedures.
- Work with the Sales & Marketing department regarding all aspects of promotions. Assist in the implementation of Sales & Marketing promotions, plans and community programs.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of competitors, including location, product offering, pricing, promotions and sales techniques.
- Monitor scheduling of all services and special programming.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, partners, third party stakeholders and vendors.
- Review purchase requisitions and forward to General Manager for approval.
- Review and approve all invoices before payment.
- Ensure and monitor compliance with all contracts and agreements.
- Identify financial and operational opportunities which will maximize profit and efficiency for the business.
- Implement strategies to improve operational systems.
- Handle any routed guest complaints, take corrective actions and address to appropriate colleagues.
- Implement and maintain strategies to improve guest satisfaction survey/VOG.

**Other Responsibilities**
- Maintain complete knowledge of all waterpark and hotel services/features
- Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by the Company
- Participate in park duty manager program
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management

**Safety, Quality & Environment Responsibilities**
- Know and applies Accor APACHE security and evacuation procedures (in case of fire, etc.)
- Ensures the safety of the people and property within the office
- Applies the ISO 9001/14001 quality certification requirements that impact his/her role
- Adhere and support Accor’s commitments to the "Environment Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc.) as well as Accor’s Planet 21 Charter and Commitments as applicable to the role,
- Monitor and oversight of Quality performances of your respective departments and teams following set annual objectives

**Your experience and skills include**:

- Diploma education or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a management role in a waterpark or related field
- Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
- Ability to speak other languages such as Arabic will be an advantage
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel & Word
