Head of Terminal Services

We are currently recruiting for Head of Terminal Services for QAS Cargo Management in Doha.
The role is responsible in supporting the VP QAS Cargo through the effective management of all Cargo handling facilities within the Cargo campus by providing strategic leadership to short and midterm capacity enhancement projects and resource management in compliance with corporate and regulatory standards. Implementation of best practices to sustain business growth and drive operational excellence.
Key accountabilities include:
- Develop and implement ground handling strategies through defined performance expectations to align with business growth plans.
- Design and deliver future ground handling and capacity requirements to meet operational growth.
- Establish organizational goals, objectives and work plans to meet defined KPI and targets. Contribute effectively to company policies and procedures and maintain strict operational controls and regulatory compliance.
- Identify operational risks and formulate robust plans to avoid operational disruption.
- Responsible for ensuring all ground handling activities for QAS Cargo to uphold a professional and satisfactory service with Qatar Airways and other Airlines.
- Drive resource management and equipment serviceability to ensure business continuity.
- Plan and direct all Cargo handling and operational activities while achieving maximum productivity and excellence in service by creating total quality environment.
- Align operational plans with functional strategies and approach; set performance expectations.
- Responsible for all safety and security compliance matters within the Cargo Facilities through proper communications and monitoring through the safety and security teams in order to ensure that staff and Cargo safety and Security is not compromised.
- Ensure safety and security of operations remains the highest priority to uphold compliance. Identify safety concerns specific to cargo operations including aircraft specifications, infrastructure requirements, regulatory requirements and other operational matters.

**Qualifications**:
- High School / Vocational Qualification with Minimum 12 years of job-related experience.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 10 years of job-related experience
- Excellent in both spoken and written English Language.
- Relevant and advance level courses from recognized establishments in the field of Aviation, Cargo and Freight Operations, Warehousing and Cargo Handling.
- Command over spoken and written Arabic. a distinctive factor
- Professionally equipped with the Emergency Response Procedures, constant review of action plans, strategies and policies for effective control over manpower resources and equipment utilization.
