**Job Overview**:
Senior Human Resources Generalist to Support recruitment process.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:
- Acting as the first point of contact for all HR related queries
- Processing offer letters, contracts and management of the onboarding process
- Management of the mobilization and demobilization of all functional staff
- Work with line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures
- In collaboration with the HR Lead, drive the HR agenda and implement the key actions as agreed
- Pro-actively lead and manage all first line employee relations cases, ensuring managers are offered practical advice and guidance in line with current company policies and legislation
- Act as an advisor and provide assistance on performance evaluation, reviews and development plans
- Set up, organize and maintain department records so that they are easily retrievable by the team
- Partner with Function Heads to build strategies that will engage people in delivering the organization’s vision; plays an active role in engaging people on sustainable business growth
- Recognizes and provides insights on business trends, barriers, risks and opportunities that may impact the business
- Advise on pay and other remuneration issues including promotions and transfers
- Educate employees on initiatives, programs and tools available
- Steward the company culture by recognizing, articulating and shaping the need for change; drives organizational norms and values, and integrate the culture into Employees’ ways of working
- Identify opportunities for HR improvement across the business areas by undertaking a process of internal diagnosis in order to understand the area for improvement and propose possible solutions
- Partner with the business to ensure standard HR systems, processes, policies, procedures, plans, and programs are in place and effectively utilized (compensation, employee relations, staffing, performance management, etc.). Establish timely and appropriate Operating Agreements/SLAs with basic service providers (Shared Services, COEs)
- Coordinate the internal transfers from other Mc Dermott offices ensuring a seamless transition
- Management and maintenance of all HR Systems
- Running HR Reports and miscellaneous reports as requested by management
- Coordinate and assist with the administration of training and development and compensation
- Managing of all types of leaves and reporting
- Maintaining records of employee personnel files and ensuring that all information is complete and up to date
- Set up, organize and maintain department records so that they are easily retrievable by department members
- Management of Kronos system for HR support. Updating Kronos profiles as required and providing general assistance to employees.
- Ensuring the compliance to Qatar Labour Law and adherence to the company policies
- Lead and/or participate in company projects on an as-required basis
- Providing support for audits
- Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
- In collaboration with the HR Business Partner, drive the HR agenda and implement key actions as agreed
- Support in employee engagement activities and initiatives
- To carry out any other work Human Resources related activities as required, noting that the Manager will pass on support level HR duties to assist his/her efforts in performing their own role
**Essential Qualifications and Education**:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Human Resource Generalist working with senior leadership teams and an overall experience within the Human Resource discipline and must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of at least 2 functional areas within Human Resources
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Social Sciences/Business Commerce is preferred
- Oil and Gas industry experience preferred
- Must have experience working in Qatar and be locally available
- Excellent communication skills
- Resilient and flexible
- Ability to manage diverse and multiple stakeholders in a matrix organization
- Solid understand of the Qatar Labour Law
- Proficient with Excel, Adobe Pro, Word and Powerpoint
- Preferably familiar with HR Systems like SAP or Oracle
