Senior Payroll and Benefits Specialist

1. Provide support in the implementation of the operational plan of the payroll and benefits section in line with the departmental strategy.
2. Support the implementation of the payroll and benefits scheme that includes basic salary, financial and non-financial benefits and incentives, ensure internal equality and alignment with the overall HR strategy and organizational objectives of Qatar University and with leading university practices.
3. Review and verify calculations of benefits for Qatar University employees.
4. Archive and maintain documents and records of payroll and benefits.
5. Prepare reports and statistics related to payroll and benefits as required.
6. Deal and maintain employee transactions related to loans, advances and bonuses in a manner consistent with the applicable policies.
7. Coordinate with the Learning and Career Development Section to ensure proper payment of training-related expenses and daily allowances.
8. Coordinate with the performance appraisal specialist to ensure proper payment of allowances and merit bonuses based on changes in employee grade or promotions.
9. Coordinate with the Employee Relations Section to ensure that changes are reflected in employee benefits based on changes resulting from employee mobility.
10. Submit expenses with all necessary information to process payroll and ensure proper and accurate transmission of data.
11. Calculate final settlements and coordinate with the General Retirement and Social Security Authority regarding the pensions of Qatari citizens, in addition to coordinating with pension funds in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries regarding the transactions of their citizens to settle outstanding payments and other related procedures.
12. Assist in following up the implementation of payroll and benefits practices at Qatar University in cooperation with relevant parties to ensure adherence to relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
13. Review inquiries related to payroll and benefits, and wage levels and structures, while acting appropriately to resolve outstanding cases.
14. Perform other tasks and duties that may be occasionally required in order to meet the requirements of the role and the aims of the University.
**Qualifications**:
Accounting degree
Arabic/English
Min 5 years experience
Solid in Oracle system
Business analysis and reporting
