Overview:
Element has an opportunity for a
**Failure Analyst** who will be primarily responsible for the failure analysis inspections, operations, reporting and consultation services.

This role will be based in Doha, Qatar

**Responsibilities**:

- Adept on various failure analysis testing aspects, including Damage mechanism and Fracture / Damage / Fatigue mechanics
- Conduct and report on failure analysis
- Presentation of technical work in different platforms in a confident manner
- Exhibit pragmatic and innovativeness with respect towards conducting of investigation and providing solutions for the client
- Review technical documents and to construct a suitable scope of work
- Estimate the work effort required and to help in the commercial breakdown of the work
- Supervise routine metallographic examinations and review / compose standard reporting comments

Skills / Qualifications:

- A recognized qualification in Metallurgy along with 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in conducting and reporting on root cause failure analysis
- Experience in working with SEM / EDS (Scanning Electron Microscopy / Energy Dispersive analysis)
- Experience working in an ISI 17025 laboratory environment
- Strong communication / presentation skills
- The ability to assess and respond to client requirements in an appropriate manner
- Ability to operate and function within a team, drawing on other expertise where required
- Flexibility and adaptability to different workloads and roles within the company
